The Fungeon Ep1 – Body Wash

October 27th, 2009

I feel morally obligated to post this on my blog even though it is already on the fungeon blog. The inspiration for this was pretty simple; for the past two months, everyone in the suite has been using the same body wash every day without questioning whose it was. Turns out, it’s Alon’s! The problem we now face, however, is that after filming this, we have absolutely no body wash at all. The good news? Alan did actually eat the soap sandwich, and it was probably one of the least weird things he has done all year.

PPPPPS: New Fungeon Episode Coming This Weekend!

The Fungeon – The Intro

October 4th, 2009

It has been a while since my last post, and I apologize to all 2-3 people that accidentally read my blog. The summer is over, I am back in New York, and I am going to try to write more posts now.

Well, this year I live in a crazy cool apartment (legally a dorm) with 5 of my close friends from school. I finally have a single, which means I can finally get work done without Rock Band tournaments happening 2 feet away from me. So, a few weeks ago, one of my roommates had his sister overnight his camcorder to school, and like anyone would do in this situation, we made an intro video to a nonexistent television show about our dorm. And just like any real television show is made, the intro inspired us to turn it into an actual mini series*.

Boy, I feel like I have been talking for ages. Sit back, take your pants off, and enjoy the video:

*realistically never going to  happen

WTF Craig?

August 16th, 2009

Every year or so, I am faced with a challenge, buy apple care for my laptop or sell it and buy a new one. Since I’d rather not be just another sheep in the herd, I stick it to the man and usually sell my laptop. I really want a Macbook Pro 15″ because watching two netflix movies at the same time on my current macbook is almost impossible without cutting off at least some part of one of the movies. After working at VMware this summer and making some moneys, I think I’m gonna treat myself to a new laptop. As usual, I put it up on craigslist, and like always, about 95% of the responses I get are bullshit scams. It’s usually someone asking me to fedex the laptop to their kid who studies abroad in exchange for a money order or someone asking me if Ill trade my laptop for some other strange item. This is clearly either a sad attempt at a scam or I’v been sending really nasty emails back to a thoughtful mother who just wants to iChat with her son in Europe. If its the later, I apologize Sylvia Auyong. I did get one response recently though that, in my opinion, oneupd all the other scam responses, and here it is:

Dear seller,
I’m interested in buying this items i love the product and my customers are demanding for it so kindly let me know the present conditions. if conditions are okay then i will be adding $50 to the cost which is my best offer.. I will pay through paypal . Send me your paypal email so that i can may make the payment without any further delay. I will add $140 for the USPS EXPRESS MAIL  shipping cost to my store in Nigeria.
Pls get back to me asap

-Thomas Smith

So many questions come to mind when I read this. First of all, was Thomas Smith the best African name this person could think of? I think I would have believed him more if it was from Shmarak Obama. Also, giving me more money off the bat than the price I asked for is not the smartest of bargaining strategies I’ve heard of, but then again, maybe The Nigerian Apple Store is really really far away. It’s pretty scary to think that if I keep getting these emails, someone must be falling for them

Well that’s enough for today, I gotta go find out how to print a shipping label for Nigeria. Be safe.

It’s a Woot Off!

July 22nd, 2009

Okay, so before I had a blog, I had millions of ideas and things I would write about. I could not imagine not having a website to have these ideas posted, and now that I have a blog, I am too lazy to write anything.

well Enough is Enough!

Today, like many other holy and important days in the Jewish Calendar, is a Woot Off!

What is a Woot Off? Well first let me welcome you to the 21st century. Woot.com is a site that sells one item (see: piece of shit) a day for a ridiculously low price. While the items usually don’t have any practical use to a normal person, such as a 3 pack of drill bits or a snow cone maker in the shape of micky mouse, sometimes they have essentials like lcd tv’s and digital picture frames! So what makes today’s Woot different from all other Woots? Excellent question. Today is a “Woot Off,” which basically means that instead of selling one item, they use this day to get rid of all the left over stuff they had from the previous days. Once an item is sold out, a new one is posted right away. So go and check out Woot.com, and let me know if they’re selling rc helicopters! KThnx

I also want to start posting music reviews of both old and new albums I listen to a lot. No worries, this will not turn into BrooklynVegan, where I criticize every band for not having their album revolve around hating bush and the war in Iraq. In the meantime here is a random thought I always have:

When you go to restaurants and order ethnic food, is it better to try and use a fake accent when you pronounce the dishes? I always do.

FIRST!

July 16th, 2009

Okay, so this is my frist “new” blog post. I finally fixed up my site, got the correct domain, and hacked wordpress. No Big Deal. Now I am going to attempt to blog about all types of stuff. I will try and keep it light and hilarious. Most likely, itll be the funniest shit you ever read.  I am also going to write about my summer internship, Israeli politics, and software development.

So there you have it. I need to go right now and be funny somewhere else. But stay tuned! Its great to meet ya!

P.S: Heres a picture* to celebrate my first post!
