HP just announced their new Pavilion dv6 line, featuring new etched metal bodies and glossy screens. Something about these machines reminds me of a different line of notebooks, but iJust can’t put my finger on it. See what I did there?

Seeing as the Blackberry’s operating system hasn’t actually changed in the past few years, I was kind of excited. Maybe I would switch back once again to a Blackberry and return to the glorious days of obnoxiously pinging my friends. Maybe RIM had finally created some legitimate competition to the sleek and intuitive iPhone OS.

Then I watched the video…

I cannot think of a better way to show just how out of touch you are with the young, hip mobile demographic then to have a video filled with faceless people dancing like crazy to a Black Eyed Peas song. Oh wait, yes I can:

I cannot imagine how HP’s acquisition of Palm could possibly yield any less weird commercials for the Pre. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

Surpise!

Surpize! And here’s my new website!  And as you can tell from reading my last post, I had to completely scrap the other idea of me holding up the site. Yes, it was a really awesome design, but the navigation and dropping-page code made the site less user friendly than I thought. The negatives? You don’t get to constantly see a picture of me when you spend your entire day on my site. The positives? You get a much more fluid and easier-to-read version of my site. Let me know what ya think!

I have already made some pretty neat pages with it and some cool new features I learned have inspired me to revamp my current website. Soooooo, I am in the process of designing and coding a new site that is radically different from the current version. My new site will focus around social media and my hobbies, including facebook, twitter, and flickr. I am working with all three of these API’s and plan on making, what I think, is a very new and unique browsing experience. I don’t wanna give too much away right now, but Ill post a draft mock-up of the new homepage. I’ll post some progress of my work as I get things done, so keep checking me feeds.

I wish all jobs took video resumes like them; I somehow find it easier to spend a night making a funny 3 minute video with some friends then writing a short cover letter. I didn’t end up accepting the offer to work there, but who knows what might happen in the future! Either way, these guys are awesome, and they are looking for more interns this summer. So start making videos!
